Geek of the Week
(An unconventionally sweet and awesome honor!)

Spencer Eliason

In the classic film Groundhog Day, Bill Murray relives the same torturous day over and over and over again.  The third week of November in the year 2013 has paralleled Groundhog Day, as waiting at the door of faithful #207 is a 6’8”, 230 pound mass of twisted steel and unbounded zeal.  Homework help…no way?  Counseling and advice…think again?  Working out probabilities and attack strategies for the board game Risk after a voracious Zumba workout…entertaining, but no dice (no pun intended)? Aid in perfecting an essay which directly impacts the next 82 years of life…WE GOT A BINGO!  Spencer, your proactive dedication to self-enhancement and future has earned you the honor Geek of the Week…Congrats!

Geek of the Week
(An unconventionally sweet and awesome honor!)

Alexandra Lutz

A snippet of a conversation I had yesterday: “Hey Alex, what does Hamlet mean when he says ‘Conscious does make cowards of us all’…NOT NOW SIRI, get back in my pocket!  I know ‘You live to serve’, but…but…but nothing.  No, in fact remove yourself, with haste, from my pocket to make room for Alex; she knows more about Hamlet and fits better in my pocket than you do!”  Congrats Alexandra Lutz, your dedication to the greatest theme creator of all time has earned you Geek of the Week!

Geek of the Week
(An unconventionally sweet and awesome honor!)

Queen eLIZabeth Darnell

All hail the Queen...Queen eLIZabeth the Great!  She reigns over her kingdom with a 99.5% class average (yeah, exceptionally, ridiculously, meticulously good).  And how!?!  How in a Senior English class could anyone possess such an impossibly high average (especially with a physically, mentally torturous and scarring instructor)?  In an exclusive press conference Queen Lizzy told the BBC , Daily Beast, and Belfast Telegraph “Yes, I am genetically gifted in terms of cognitive capacity; however, I found that asking questions [especially about comma usage] truly fertilizes percentage growth; who’d a thunk it!”  So, Queen Liz, here is a “Holla” for you Geek of the Week.
