Tavia Storm Passero

Beep-Beep   SEVERE WEATHER ALERT…STORM A BREW’N   Beep-Beep

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has issued a STORM warning for Chadron, Nebraska, but capable of affecting the entire world. This STORM has the ability to produce crazy remarkable winds, immeasurably impact anyone in its path, and flood areas with serious doses of awesomeness.  Current measurements illustrate this STORM having a 96.21%, but could reach upwards of a 98% by the end of next week, highest chance in any recent memory.  This freakishly amazing storm has been named Tavia…Tavia Storm.  Congrats Tavia Storm Passero, English Geek of the Week!  Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep…

Geek of the Week
(An unconventionally sweet and awesome honor!)

Kaylee Gaswick

Ke$ha’s description of Kaylee Gaswick as Geek of the Week:

Wrought and abstemious
If you like her than cajole with her
‘Cause she make the Seniors abreast of
Shakespeare, when she got her tippet on and up

And yes of course she does
She runnin’ this class just like a sub
And no, you don’t wanna demur her
Cause she’s a Shakespeare connoisseur-r-r-r

Got her kirtle below her thighs
Bum roll twisted extra tight
Renaissance goin’ down tonight
So let’s go-oh-oh, Billy Shakes lets go!

Spencer Eliason

In the classic film Groundhog Day, Bill Murray relives the same torturous day over and over and over again.  The third week of November in the year 2013 has paralleled Groundhog Day, as waiting at the door of faithful #207 is a 6’8”, 230 pound mass of twisted steel and unbounded zeal.  Homework help…no way?  Counseling and advice…think again?  Working out probabilities and attack strategies for the board game Risk after a voracious Zumba workout…entertaining, but no dice (no pun intended)? Aid in perfecting an essay which directly impacts the next 82 years of life…WE GOT A BINGO!  Spencer, your proactive dedication to self-enhancement and future has earned you the honor Geek of the Week…Congrats!

Alexandra Lutz

A snippet of a conversation I had yesterday: “Hey Alex, what does Hamlet mean when he says ‘Conscious does make cowards of us all’…NOT NOW SIRI, get back in my pocket!  I know ‘You live to serve’, but…but…but nothing.  No, in fact remove yourself, with haste, from my pocket to make room for Alex; she knows more about Hamlet and fits better in my pocket than you do!”  Congrats Alexandra Lutz, your dedication to the greatest theme creator of all time has earned you Geek of the Week!

Queen eLIZabeth Darnell

All hail the Queen...Queen eLIZabeth the Great!  She reigns over her kingdom with a 99.5% class average (yeah, exceptionally, ridiculously, meticulously good).  And how!?!  How in a Senior English class could anyone possess such an impossibly high average (especially with a physically, mentally torturous and scarring instructor)?  In an exclusive press conference Queen Lizzy told the BBC , Daily Beast, and Belfast Telegraph “Yes, I am genetically gifted in terms of cognitive capacity; however, I found that asking questions [especially about comma usage] truly fertilizes percentage growth; who’d a thunk it!”  So, Queen Liz, here is a “Holla” for you Geek of the Week.

Geek of the Week
(An unconventionally sweet and awesome honor!)

Shelby Doescher

When the French needed a leader early in the 15th Century during the 100 Years’ War, they turned to a sassy-sturdy-spearheaded young lass to lead them.  At the ripe age of 19 The Maid of Orleans (aka Joan of Arc) put on her Under Armour Cold Gear and led her country to victory in many conflicts with the English.  Today, a new leader has risen in Shelby Doescher.  Although small in stature, her cranial structure is full of diverse weapons to rip the face off of Medieval and Renaissance texts gaining many victories for her GPA.  Congrats Maid of Chadrock on being Geek of the Week (and forget about Joan of Arc being burned at the stake).
